MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MEETING, TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 1976 at 10:00 A. M.

PRESENT: Member Case D. Broderick Member Edward S. Boyle Deputy Reah Pehrson

Motion to accept the minutes was made by Commissioner Broderick and seconded by Commissioner Boyle. The motion was accepted unanimously. Commissioner Black was absent and Commissioner Broderick presided.

MONTEZUMA CREEK POOL

The school attorney, L. Robert Anderson and the County Attorney, Bennion Redd are working on the lease for the Montezuma Creek Pool. It will be the same type as the School Board has had with the tribe.

INDIGENT HOSPITAL BILLS

The matter of hospital bills for the poor and indigent was discussed. There is a need to set standards or guidelines. Bruce Halliday will be contacted on this as it is believed that he has some guidelines.

NURSING HOME EMPLOYEES

There is a constant need for more employees at the nursing home in Blanding. Solutions for this was discussed. Arlow Freestone will be contacted about the pay scale.

PETITIONS IN FAVOR OF RUDY COOK

Petitions are expected to come in for the support of Rudy Cook. It was reported that he had been to Salt Lake City and passed a polygraph test. Allegations are such that a hearing will need to be held.

TITLE XX BOARD APPOINTMENT

Johnnie Rae Billie has been appointed to the Title XX Board. A letter was written to him informing him of this.

COUNTY TV TECHNICIAN APPLICATION RECEIVED

A letter was received from Jim Allred stating his qualifications for the above job.

NOTICE OF CLAIM BY HALLIDAY CONSTRUCTION

A notice of claim from Holliday Construction Company was received by the Commissioners. This regards the calling for bids on projects within the County.

FIRE PROTECTION AT CEDAR POINT

John Baker will set up a meeting with the residents of Cedar Point and the Commissioners to discuss a fire truck for this area.

MEETINGS

Grazing-Therewill be a meeting Tuesday 7th of September, 1976 in the Courthouse.

Public Workshop for National Park Service in Library, September 20th, 1976,MOnticello, Ut.

MEXICAN HAT LAND EXCHANGE

There is to be a meeting of the BLM, State Land Board and the citizens of Mexican Hat in Salt Lake City, at present the date has not been set. The Commissioners desire to be in attendence.
