MINUTES OF THEBOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MEETING HELD IN REGULAR SESSION ON MONDAY, THE 20th DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1972

Meeting opened at 11:00 O'clock A. M. with Commissioner Hazleton in the Chair.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Motion for approval was made by Commissioner Black, seconded by Commissioner Dunow and carried unanimously.
CIVIL DEFENSE REMOTE CONTROL UNIT
C. D. Director, Al Haskins, presented a proposal for extended radio coverage for the County Road Dept. and a proposal for additional Civil Defense & Emergancy Operations Communications.
The Commission instructed Mr. Raskins to request 50% participation from the State C. D. Department. Final disposition of this matter will be made the following week, hopefully.
ROAD MAPS FOR SURVEYOR'S DEPARTMENT DISCUSSED
Doug Pehrson informed the Commission that he could get a County road map showing all roads, surfaced and dirt, size approximately 3 1/2 ft. x 3 1/2 ft., on cromoflex for $220. The Commission approved purchase of one large and one small map..
P.E.P. HIRING APPROVED:
Mr. Jerry Davis, P.E.P. Coordinator informed Commission they had enough money available, because of terminations, to hire an L.P.N. for the County and a Maintenance Man for the roads. This is based on an hourly rate of 2.39 per hr. for L.P.N. & 2.25 per hr. for the maintenanceman.
Mr. Dennis Ickes from the U. S. Dept. of Justice, investigating a complaint on the School Board
Redistricting, discussed policies and procedures used in re-districting. Latest census figures available, map showing different districts and population involved and reasons for divisions made were discussed.
QUALITY FORD PROTESTS NEW COUNTY POLICY ON BIDDING:
Quality Ford Sales represented by Tom Redd protested the new 5% option on County Bids.
PREVIOUS ACTION AMENDED:
Inasmuch as the State Statutes limits the amount to be paid to registration of election agents to $15.00 per day, Commissioner Dunow motioned to amend their previous action of granting Registration Agents $20.00 per day, to conform with the Statutess Commission Black seconded and approval was unanimous.
Deleted as per instruction November 27, 1972.
