The Board of County Commissioners met this day in regular session, with Chairman N. W. Sitton, L. J. Bartell and Clerk in attendance.

Mr. Keely of the/State Aeronautics Commission met with the Board and asked that the Board,in behalf of San Juan County , make anProject Application for Federal Aid in the development of the Moab Air Port which is located in San Juan County.

The attached resolutions were introduced by L. J. Bartell, and after due consideration they were unanimously adopted.

A delegation of Summit Point people presented a petition asking for a gravel project on the West Summit road. In view of the fact that there is insufficient funds on hand for this project it was decided that it be recommended as a project to be taken up by the incoming commissioners following the November election.

Minutes of the meeting of April 4, 1947 wand of May U were read and approved.

It was moved by Sitton and seconded by Brtell that the contracts between the County and the Soil Conservation and the F. H. A. for rent be extended for another year. Carried.

It was moved by Bartell and seconded by Sitton to write the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation that the county would pay the expense of hospitilazation of W. R. Quigley for an operation on his leg.

It was voted that the lumber at the Fair Grounds be sold to Ernest Harrel, whose bid of $26. 50 was the highest received.

A bid of $50.00 by Jack Dumbreck for a Chevrolet Motor which was owned by the County was accepted.

A delegation of La Sal residants asked that three miles of road in the La Sal district be graveled. It was agreed to put in the necesary culverts, grade up the road and gravel the three miles , also to repair roads already graveled, providing gravel could be obtained from the State road supply.

The Assessor was instructed to get air maps of the county showing
