San Juan County Commission Meetings

Commission meetings begin at 10:00 A.M. and continue until the business of the day has concluded. The Commission generally meets on the first four Mondays of each month. If Monday is a holiday, the meeting will be held the following Tuesday. All meetings will be held in the commission chambers at the San Juan County Courthouse, 117 South Main Street, Monticello, Utah.

San Juan County Lands Bill

San Juan County and Senator Bob Bennett are currently discussing a Federal lands bill for San Juan County. Senator Bennett plans to introduce the bill in Congress later this year. The lands bill will directly or indirectly address issues such as wilderness, roads, grazing, mining, oil and gas exploration, motorized and non-motorized recreation and protection of cultural resources.

The San Juan County Commission invites County residents, who desire to provide input into these discussions, to contact the Commission and arrange a meeting. The Commission is especially interested in your ideas relating to specific areas and activities that are important to you.
